Come back to nature -
to Bangriposi, a quaint tribal hamlet nestled at the foothills of the Thakurani hills in Mayurbhanj, Odisha. Witness rustic hospitality,
an earthen home-away-from-home and delicious wood-fired local meals.
Put up at our eco cottage.
A far cry from urban sophistication and luxury,
we do not have televisions,
air-conditioners or geysers. We do have clean toilets, fresh sheets, warm blankets and an overall sense of coming back home. The scent of the forest, rural life around you and a moonshower on the patio is
an added attraction.

Delicious wood-fired meals from our kitchen. Don't forget to specifically ask for alu chokha, dimer dalna, chicken curry and chicken roast. Also try the local gulgule at the dhaba next door and the chhena pora from the market.
SIT

For hours under the starry
sky or on the culvert on the highway (not after 10 pm though). For the more adventurous, hike up the rocky hills and sit in the caves with
a packed lunch or trek to the Buribalam river and sit on the boulders and watch the sunset. For the faint-hearted, ask for the madoor and sit next to the unoon/chulha in the evenings when Kunni (caretaker's daughter) cooks your meals.
PRAY

At the bonbibi or Duarsini temple or visit the Nilamadhaba temple to see a live Jagannath. Don't forget to carry a pinch of salt with you though! For pantheists, look at nature and seek your God!
